The psychiatrists and clinical staff at University Behavioral Health of Denton provide both inpatient and outpatient services for bipolar disorder treatment, depression treatment, schizophrenia treatment, and other programs and treatment for a variety of mental health issues. The inpatient programs provide crisis stabilization and superior ongoing care in a safe environment. The therapy programs include group sessions, education, and structured activities.
The psychiatric hospital staff provides a continuity of care though hospitalization if needed, partial hospitalization, and outpatient care. Individualized therapy programs are developed for each patient for the treatment of conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, and other mental health and substance abuse problems.
Once a patient’s condition has stabilized, their treatment program includes a structured schedule of group therapy, activities, and educational sessions. For many patients, their treatment plan allows them to progress from an inpatient program to partial hospitalization.
During treatment under the Day Hospital Program, the patients are able to stay at their homes and come to our Denton, Texas center during daytime hours. Another treatment option available to some of our patients with bipolar disorder, depression, or schizophrenia is our outpatient service. For patients who qualify for this program, this is can be an attractive alternative to full or partial hospitalization.
UBHDenton has programs specifically designed to assist children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The treatment programs also offer specialized care for patients who face challenges from multiple mental health concerns or from a combination of mental illness and drug or alcohol problems.
